Terms of service
Terms, in plain language
Between you (the organization buying or using Lisavel) and Jelista Strategies Inc., Ontario, Canada.
Draft. These terms have not yet been approved by the founder and are not in force. They will be dated when they are.
What Lisavel is
Lisavel is a self-serve software tool. It explains which obligations under Ontario's accessibility regulation apply to an organization of your size and type, grades your answers by fixed rules, fills in document templates from your answers, and walks you through the government's compliance report questions. It is information and drafting software.
What Lisavel is not
- It is not legal advice, and using it does not create a lawyer-client relationship. The regulation on e-Laws prevails over any summary in the product.
- It does not determine whether your organization meets the law, and it does not certify, file or submit anything on your behalf. Your organization's own certifier answers and files the government's report, and is responsible for those answers.
- It does not audit your premises, your records or your website. Its output depends on the accuracy of what you tell it.
What you buy
A one-time purchase gives your organization access to the questionnaire, report card, documents and filing walkthrough for the current reporting cycle, as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Features marked “coming soon” are not part of the purchase until they are released. Payment is taken by Paddle, our merchant of record; Paddle's terms also apply to the transaction.
Your responsibilities
- Answer truthfully. The report card and walkthrough reflect your answers.
- Read every drafted document before adopting it. Drafts are written for your organization from your answers; adopting one is your decision and commitment.
- Do not enter personal information about employees or customers in your answers or notes.
- Keep your report link and access code private.
Refunds
Full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. See the refund policy.
Our responsibilities and limits
We will provide the product as described, keep it available with reasonable care, and handle your data as the privacy policy says. We work hard to keep the rules accurate and cite every one, but we cannot promise that any summary is complete or that a report filed with our help will be accepted or found satisfactory by any authority. To the extent Ontario law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us.
Intellectual property
The documents generated for you are yours to use, edit and publish. The product, its rules data, text and design remain ours.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a date. You may stop using the product at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend access for misuse (for example, attempting to resell generated documents at scale without an agency licence).
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Questions: [email protected].
